So, I am not a mathematician...  and having decided to price out our meals, and being sick, I have reduced myself to tears trying to work out the price per gram on things like sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil etc....  Dear me... who's idea was this anyhow?  I think because I am still quite unwell, my brain is really struggling to cope...(that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)  but it has been a very enlightening experience... you can visit the MENU page to see how we are doing with some of the recipe prices so far...  It is a time consuming exercise.... I am pretty sure it will be worth the effort in the end... Greg is keeping a diary about how much time, effort and money we are putting into the garden in hopes of saving something there too.  I have added The Garden Project to this website as well so you can also follow that process.  WE have loved your comments so far, both here, and on our various facebook thread and pages!  Keep the encouragement coming...  

Ok - Here we go!  Hopefully this will be interesting, non cringe worthy, and maybe even helpful.  I am actually excited to be doing this!  All the discussion on the "stretch your dollar" Hibiscus Coast page, and I know also in the Hibiscus Coast Discussion Forum page - has made this a hot topic!  It is our hope that in exposing ourselves, and committing to doing this - we will be MAKING ourselves learn and implement cost saving measures, but it may also challenge YOU or alternatively make you aware of how well you are doing!  Either way we hope there is something in this for you too!  Thanks for joining us on this journey.  We will post some videos as we build our garden.
